Shared expense splitter: who pays whom?
There are two or three of you and nobody remembers who paid what. Enter the partners and the expenses; the tool works out each partner’s share, what each paid too much or too little, and who pays whom with the fewest transfers.
Everything this tool does happens in your browser. The names, phone numbers and amounts you type are not sent to our servers and are gone when you close the page.
The calculation is for sharing between partners and is not commercial, tax or legal advice. Amounts are split to the cent and the shares always add up to the total.
How to use it
- Enter the partners: name; share %. Leave the share out for an equal split.
- Enter the expenses: partner who paid; amount; what for.
- See who pays whom; share it with “Send the result on WhatsApp” or “Copy the result”.
Good to know
- Amounts are split to the cent and always add up to the total (leftover cents go by the largest-remainder method).
- Shares must add up to 100. For unequal shares, example: Ali; 60 and Veli; 40.
- The payer’s name must match the partner list (case does not matter).
- This is a sharing calculation, not commercial, tax or legal advice. What you type is not sent to our servers.
Frequently asked questions
What if the shares are not equal?
Write a percentage on each partner line (example: Ali; 60). The percentages must add up to 100.
How are cents split?
Each partner’s share is calculated in cents and leftover cents go to the largest remainders; the shares always add up to the total.
Why so few transfers?
The biggest debtor pays the biggest creditor first, so no needless back-and-forth payments appear.
Is anything stored?
No. The calculation is done in your browser and is gone when you close the page.
